[7:11]  1 tn Heb “God (the divine name אֵל [’el] is used) is angry during all the day.” The verb זֹעֵם (zoem) means “be indignant, be angry, curse.” Here God’s angry response to wrongdoing and injustice leads him to prepare to execute judgment as described in the following verses.

[102:3]  2 tn Heb “for my days come to an end in smoke.”

[102:3]  3 tn The Hebrew noun מוֹ־קֵד (mo-qed, “fireplace”) occurs only here, in Isa 33:14 (where it refers to the fire itself), and perhaps in Lev 6:2.

[143:5]  4 tn Or “ancient times”; Heb “days from before.”

[143:5]  5 tn Heb “the work of your hands.”
